Chris and Taylor review the new Netflix film "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom," based on the play by August Wilson, written by Ruben Santiago-Hudson and directed by George C. Wolfe. This quick paced drama tells the story of a group of musicians waiting to record with the "Mother of Blues" herself, the infamous Ma Rainey, on a hot day in Chicago in the 1920's. The cast includes Viola Davis as Ma, Colman Domingo, Michael Potts, Glynn Turman, Jeremy Shamos and a masterful final performance by the late Chadwick Boseman.
