West Hollywood is kicking off their inaugural Pride celebration the weekend of June 3, 4 and 5th with WEHO PRIDE! Cherry Bomb Weho was founded by Alison Freed to be able to give women and gender expansive folks the space space and home base they deserve in the great city of West Hollywood. In this Pride Spotlight, Tracy talks to founder Alison and Shantilly, the Brand Manager & Social Media Manger for Cherry Bomb.
"Los Angeles is in dire need of a safe space and a home base for women & gender expansive folks. Enter: Cherry Bomb - A bar, cafe, restaurant, event space, and music venue founded, owned, and operated by women and gender expansive folks, for women and gender expansive folks. Above all, we are a safe space for ALL women- cis women, trans women, gay women, straight women, black women, asian women & for non-binary folks and gender nonconforming humans. This is the space where you will be surrounded by like-minded humans. Cherry Bomb will be located in the heart of West Hollywood with an entirely female and gender expansive executive and operational team. This space is intended to inspire, uplift, and highlight our community in all different areas ranging from art, music, culinary, dance, poetry, and much more. Cherry Bomb will be the ideal spot for everything: Dining with friends, grabbing a cup of coffee, happy hour after work, dancing on the weekends… you name it! We intend to have exciting happenings almost every night to foster a true sense of diverse community. These events will include live musical performances, art nights, DJ sets, movie screenings, LGBTQ+ events, and much more."
