This includes Harry coming into the home impersonating a police officer. Defamation and slander of character of old man Marley. Child neglect laws in Illinois and throughout the U.S., leaving your child home alone and the legality of the parents (the Mcallisters) leaving Kevin at home and what crimes they have committed. Uncle Frank stealing the crystal glasses on the plane. Kevin stealing a toothbrush by the american dental association and the legal issues that arose from that scene.

We also go into burglary laws and self defense of property and person and castle laws when Kevin protects the home. We also discuss the legal issues of the police and their response when the parents call and say Kevin is home alone. We also breakdown what charges Marv and Harry would face for their actions throughout the movie such as burglary, assault, murder and kidnapping as well as other tidbits such as the death threats on the pizzaman.

We also discuss 4th Amendment rights at the end and how things have changed since 9/11 and how your 4th Amendment rights work at the airport and at the border with security checks. Like and subscribe for more Lawed Up podcasts!
