The best in the business come together to recap the week of the Worcester Red Sox. Worcester Academy Head Football Coach Jeremy Bandy, Worcester Academy Offensive Line Coach Mike Binkoski, and the best Radio Host in the UNIVERSE, Steve Cully are here to some WOOSOX baseball.
Bink and Jeremy talk about the challenges of playing on the road in the minor leagues. Worcester struggled at the start of the season out in Buffalo, losing several games right out of the gate. Then Jeremy explains how they have to go to Syracuse and of course, are caught in terrible weather conditions which caused games to be cancelled. Unfortunately, the Sox did not get much time off as they played in two doubleheaders, which are 7 innings to make things easier on an already smaller roster.
The guys talk about a rough start to the season going 2-5 against Buffalo, followed up by a 2-6 series against Syracuse. Players moving around early as SS Romy Gonzalez, the hottest player, on a rehab assignment, headed back to Boston after 3 games. Bink talked about how WOOSOX manager Chad Tracey had to get creative with his lineups, playing infielders in the outfield, changing the line ups, whatever it takes to get the bats going. You will get the best WOOSOX coverage on 97.9 Unity Radio with Executive Producer Ernie Floyd.
