Description

The Tuesday edition of “The TyePod” this week features the local and internet famous Andrew Palmer and his mom, Katherine! They share experiences with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy from the perspective of a mother son team. Their stories about driving wheelchairs and race cars, having a power chair in the house for the first time, music interest, and Andrew’s “old soul” mentality were highlight moments for me. I hope you all enjoy this episode as much as I did!

During recording of this episode, Andrew had recently received a treatment to help with muscle weakness progression. Currently, he is being closely monitored as the treatment can adversely impact liver function. Katherine has asked people to pray for Andrew’s recovery and to send hopeful thoughts their way. I wish him a quick recovery myself and hope he is back to all of his activities soon including frequent visits to accessible parks and hosting the mayor at many future events!

This week’s episode is in my bio! As always, thank you so much to everyone who listens, follows, shares and interacts with my content and a huge shoutout to the amazing guests who take time to come on my podcast. In the next episode, I am joined by Kayla VanderZanden (@kayla_loves_chocolate)!

If you or anyone you know are interested in making a guest appearance please send me a message!
