Description

This week’s final The TyePod episode features a chat with Caroline Hughes who is a certified Adaptive Fitness Specialist.

We talked extensively about custom therapeutic plans for people ranging from those with mild disabilities to those with power wheelchairs. We also chatted about adaptive yoga and both of our experiences.

One thing I really appreciate is that, while yoga and meditation are often casually thrown around as disability “fixes” in an ableist context, Caroline puts direct effort to actually develop a tailor made program for each individual. I hope you gain some helpful information about the world of adaptive fitness!

You can find out more about Caroline by following her @accessible.yoga.practice with some useful resources and guides!

Next time on The TyePod I talk with Anastasia (@science_with_Ana) who is a Digital creator focused on bringing credible scientific information on chronic illness.
