Husky Talk- Conversations with Cully and Conlon reflect on the WNBA All Star weekend. Obviously, we talked about our Olympic team taking a loss and many critics saying certain players should be replaced.
Maria believes it's a complete overreaction, most of the women playing have not received any sort of time off in a year. Veterans play overseas in the winter; rookies go from the NCAA tournament to being drafted and start training camp. These women endure a grind and will be ready for Paris.
We go over ESPNs predictions for the second half of the season and Maria said receiving a break from the Olympics will make a tremendous difference and allow many players a chance to return at full strength.
Maria is enjoying some well-deserved time off with her family and looks forward to watching her friends return with Gold Medals from Paris.
