Jayci Underwood was branded with a scarlet letter when national news got out that she was pregnant with BYU's star athlete, Brandon Davies' baby. Brandon sat out the rest of the 2011 NCAA tournament and was encouraged by coaches and church leaders to not admit paternity to either of the two women he had gotten pregnant. Without support from her family, the father of the children, and at the encouragement from her church ,Jayci made the difficult decision to place her child for adoption. Jayci and I talk about her upbringing in the church, the circumstances that led up to her decision, the consequences she faced vs Brandon Davies and what her relationship is like now with her 13 year old son she placed and his adopted parents.
