Welcome to the first episode of Pouty Mouth! I'm your host Tara Herbert. In this episode I talk about my journey out of Mormonism, and explain who this podcast is primarily for, ex-Mormon and ex-evangelical women who are trying to find a life that feels less controlling. I caution active Mormons that the podcast may not be for them. I also explore the possible reasons why young women are leaving organized religion, including issues of sexism and limited individuality. I want to create a space for discussing adoption and race within Mormonism, as well as spirituality and leaving Mormonism.
