In this episode I address some of the comments and misconceptions surrounding adoption. I discuss the trauma of adoption, the complexities of adoptee experiences, and the need for reform in the adoption system. I share my feelings about being adopted and the challenges of forming attachments with my biological family. The challenges and sacrifices that adoptees and their families make, as well as the misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding adoption. I also want to emphasize the importance of compassion and understanding when discussing adoption and encourage an open dialogue and support for adoptees and their families.
