Today’s episode features a recording of ASIG’s November Lunch and Learn session on Aging Veterans. Our guests are Ed Ratner, MD and Catherine Kotz, PhD from the Minneapolis VA.

Dr. Ratner is a physician specializing in geriatrics and palliative care and has been faculty in the University of Minnesota Medical School for over 20 years. He is also a member of the Center for Healthy Aging and Innovation and the associate director for education and evaluation at the Minneapolis VA Geriatric Center. Dr. Kotz serves as the associate director for research in the GRECC at the Minneapolis VA and is a Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology at the University of Minnesota.

In this episode Dr. Ratner and Dr. Kotz share about their research interests, services offered at the VA, their experiences working with aging veterans, and the opportunities that exist for students to get involved.
