“Embracing the Current Seasons of Our Lives”

Of Dirt & Wildflowers: A Podcast

Hosted by Kylee Jean Marshall

In today’s episode, “Embracing the Current Seasons of Our Lives,” we will dig into the dirt of life in order to understand its role in our growth. If we cannot learn how to be, how to fully exist in the season we are in, we cannot grow and bloom in the next one.

How many times have you said to yourself, “Once I get through this, everything will be better,” and then believed that this was just a season, a phase of life to get through, to endure?

What if I told you that the hardest, most difficult seasons are essential to your growth and to your level of joy? Learning to live, not just endure in the current season of life, whatever that looks like for you, is the catalyst to a grateful, joy-filled life.

When you finish listening, you will have a better understanding…of how our lives are seasonal and that each serves a purpose in our journey. We each have planting seasons requiring hard work, growing seasons requiring patience, and blooming seasons requiring gratitude. Whatever season you currently find yourself in is an absolutely beautiful part of you, and together we will explore the intricacies of all three seasons to help you fully live and take up space in the dirt of your life.

I truly believe in the power of journaling and its power to help us in making personal connections and in creating meaning to help us grow. Below are connected journaling prompts for today’s episode.

1.  What feelings arise for you when you think about big projects and deadlines? How about when you think about living your dream life? What is the difference and similarities between the emotions evoked? What do you think the differences and the similarities say about you and your perceptions toward the future?

2. How do you define progress? How does progress show up in your life? Do you recognize it? Celebrate it? Why or why not?

3. How often do you sit in gratitude? What does this practice look like for you? How does or has practicing gratitude affected you?

Be well! Love you, my friends.
