In this powerful message, we're challenged to embrace our role in Jesus' mission of discipleship. The key scripture, Luke 9:10-17, recounts the feeding of the 5,000 - a miracle that goes beyond just satisfying physical hunger. Jesus' command, 'You give them something to eat,' becomes a call for each of us to participate in nourishing others spiritually. This isn't about having all the answers or being perfect; it's about offering what we have, however little it may seem, and letting Jesus multiply it. The parallel drawn between feeding others and our own spiritual growth is striking - as we learn to 'feast on Jesus' and share that sustenance with others, we mature in our faith. This message urges us to move beyond being mere spectators in our faith journey and become active participants in building God's kingdom, starting with those closest to us.
When Jesus sees the CROWDS his desire is to FEED THEM, HEAL THEM and TEACH them the way of his kingdom. He invites YOU and ME to join in his kingdom work by GROWING UP to help FEED OTHERS!
Jesus looks at the disciples in Luke 9 and says, "YOU give them something to eat..."
Everyone knows, the ONE TEACHING/FEEDING is always the one who learns the most and GROWS the most!
Jesus wants each kingdom disciple to take responsible and share in his kingdom burden. To see the harassed and helpless find themselves under the life-giving leadership of King Jesus and learn to FEAST on his abundance as a way of life.
