v40. Martha distracted … Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work v41-42. Martha, Martha … you are worried and upset about many things but few things are needed – or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better … will not be taken ...

Lamentations 3:24. The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him. SEEKING NOT WORRYING – Matthew 6:25-33 v25. Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life … v27. Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? v30. you of little faith?V33. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

VICTORY NOT ESCAPE – John 14:27, 16:33

John 14:27. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Luke 11:11-13. your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!

John 16:33. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

Romans 8:31-39. We are more than conquerors through him who loved us

Finally – choosing to exchange. Exchanging our heart of stone for a heart of Flesh (Ezekiel 36:26)
