Intro
Do not fret. – the Hebrew word Charah is translated do not burn with anger. It is repeated 3 times in verses 1, 7, 8.

1. 5 elements of trust (v3-8)
a. trust in the Lord (v3)
b. Take Delight in the Lord (v4)
c. Commit your way to the Lord (v5)
d. Be still before the Lord (v7)
e. Refrain from Anger (v8)

2. Look up and look ahead (v9-11)
Sometimes we can become so fixated on the present moment that we forget to see the bigger picture. We need to look ahead at what’s to come and keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.

3. Blessed are the meek (v11)
1 Peter 2:23 Jesus is our ultimate example of meekness “When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.”
Finally – Trust in God More than us trusting God for things, He wants us to trust in Him. He wants us to cast our anxieties, our fragility and brokenness on Him and to trust him with that because he cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7
