This week, Colin was joined by Jeremy Scott, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Carolina Panthers.
Jeremy graduated from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania with a degree in fitness management, before earning his master's in health education from Penn State University.
His coaching career began in 1996 at Penn State as an intern with the program. During that inaugural season with the Nittany Lions, Scott helped coach a walk-on linebacker - Matt Rhule. Following his internship, he joined the PSY staff as a graduate assistant. He stayed with the team until 2012. From there, he spent one year at Princeton University, and then made his way to Baylor University and led the Bears strength and conditioning program. Now, Scott enters his second season with the Panthers as the team's head strength and conditioning coach uncer coach Matt Rhule.
During the interview, Colin and Jeremy started from the very beginning and worked their way to meeting up with each other at Carolina again. Jeremy talked about his personal growth in this field and how important it is to learn while molding others, Temple vs. Penn State, the toughness he learned growing up in a blue-collar world, Coach Joe Paterno and his "no cutting corners mentality", and even his experience so far with the Panthers and how you can be more honest with the players because you have more people willing to do the work to stay in the league.
