Brian's background starts in soccer, with an eventual knee injury ending his career and guiding him to the US Navy. While Brian was stationed in San Diego, he met his wife, and after years together, they got married and made their way up to the PNW. While in school, they started indulging in the various outdoor activities that the PNW offers, which includes hiking and climbing. After climbing Mt. Rainer, Brian then decides to make it his mission to climb all the highest peaks in the seven continents.
And with that, came Mt.Everest.
Brian was roughly 1,000 feet from the summit of Mt. Everest - also known as the death zone - when his Sherpa became ill and had to turn back, leaving Brian with a difficult decision: should he continue to push for the summit, or head back down the mountain....
