Big Idea - The entire universe is held together by self-giving love - Everything in scripture is relational. And it must be read in that context to be understood correctly. - Sin is PRIMARILY the destruction of relationships. Not individual moral failures. - The emphasis of scripture is that holiness leads to love in relationships. - Community doesn't make us holy. The Spirit of God gives us holiness, which expresses itself as loving community. - The fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5) are all about relationships. Questions - Does it feel easier to follow Jesus if your purpose is to just love people? - Read Galatians 5:22-23 - Try resetting your idea of "sin." Think about this list being the only things you need to worry about pursuing. How would that change your spiritual life? - Will you ask the Holy Spirit to give you more fruit? - What would look different tomorrow if you had more? - Will you try opening up to someone? - Will you try sending a text to someone in your group to try being better friends? - WE NEED YOU TO BUY IN AND DO THIS WITH US
