Revival Seeds is a local seed company here in the Annapolis Valley with five generations of seed farming experience. Ken joins us to share his family’s knowledge built from over a century of experience. He shares the amazing story of how his family traveled from modern day Western Ukraine to Canada in 1903 with a trunk of seeds from which the family business was born. We discuss the recent surge in interest in heritage seeds, the importance of food security, the health crisis in Nova Scotia, the economic burden of a healthy diet and how all these issues could possibly be solved with old fashioned farming techniques.
