Local author Brenda Thompson joins us to discuss the history of poverty in Nova Scotia. We discuss her book A Wholesome Horror outlining the terribly inhuman conditions of NS poor houses of the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. We debate how to tackle the repeating cycles of poverty locally and globally.
