Description

Synopsis:

Trials and tribulations are going to come always when we least expect them. Shock is a natural state of being when we are first given the bad news for any kind of loss (health, job, financial, relationship...), but what can be done about it?

In preparing for the unexpected, Luke and Linnea share 5 "tools" that we can put in our toolkit for when these moments strike. They won't fix the problem, but they will help us and those around us weather through the storms.

In this episode you will hear:

- 5 tools to help navigate shock

- we can't make our state of shock go faster, but we can endure it well

- the importance of anchors and rhythms in times of loss

- take time to invest in relationships now that will carry us in our darkest moments.

Resources mentioned:

- Reading the Bible (check out this Lectio Bible from John Mark Comer)

- Journaling (The Taste and Seek Journal is helpful for remembering God's faithfulness and also there's a NEW JOURNAL from T+S).

- Jon Acuff's Soundtracks and also his book for teens
