Description

There are people I can always count on during my time as an activist for advice, support, or whatever I needed. One of them is my buddy Trey from Animal Activism Collective. Trey and I were together for some of our earliest actions for animals. Siginficantly, he and I shared 5 days in eastern North Carolina that were instrumental in our development as activists.

Trey was always someone who was there for the animals since I knew him, but following that five day event he became something even more powerful. In short, he found his voice. And what a voice that is. He speaks with a force that I consider the standard I reach for if I am holding a megaphone. And not only did he find his voice, he learned to build coalitions, organize, and develop other activists, something that took shape with the founding of Animal Activism Mentoriship, recently renamed Animal Activim Collective.

Trey is one of the people that makes me confident in our movement's eventual victory. It was fun to reminisce about those formative five days we shared with legendary activists, and to get into some of Trey's philosophy and theory of change. I believe he is truly one of the vital pieces of the animal liberation puzzle.
