For years, David Ramms has done a year-end livestream called the Rammys where he gives out awards for the best and worst of veganism for that year. While it's meant to be humorous in part, David also has a serious purpose to it, one of which is to showcase deserving activists' work. David spends so much of his channel's social capital supporting smaller content creators that I thought it was time for someone needs to give HIM some appreciation, and I'm happy to do it. So yes, I nominate David Ramms, fan appreciation award for 2024. Thank you for all the great work, David.
I've been watching David's content for years, pretty much since I went vegan. I've watched him use biting wit to point out hypocrisy. I've seen him cover the animal rights news of the week with his "Face the Facts Friday." I got "fact" so many times I don't know what's fact and what's fiction anymore. I've watched him appear on big channels and make strong cases for animal rights. And for several years, I have seen him taking a serious look at his content and evolving to what he thinks will most help the animals. We talk about his channel's evolution, his time in India, calling out spiritual charlatans and much more. It was such an honor to speak with David.
