Today, I have a special bonus episode for you. In our regular episodes, we learn a story just as it’s written in Scripture.
And there are many people in the Bible who have fascinating stories but we get to hear very little from them directly. So sometimes I like to imagine how those characters would tell their own stories. If they stood in front of us today, what would they say?
These stories are not meant to be a replacement for Scripture. They are inspired and informed by it. And my hope is that, after hearing these imaginative retellings, you will be interested in and motivated to read their stories in the Bible for yourself.
So today, I’d like to tell you Gomer’s story. You can read it in the Bible in the Old Testament book of Hosea, specifically chapters 1 and 3. But I would encourage you to read all 14 chapters.
