Description

Author Salman Rushdie spent years in hiding after Ayatollah Khomeini of Iran called for his assassination over the book The Satanic Verses. Riots, revolution, and murder weave the stories of these two men together.

*Note: This podcast does not intend to make a commentary on an entire group of people, only on those who participated in violence. It is simply one example of many, across different religions and organizations, in which powerful people leveraged fear to incite others to terrible acts. Peaceful, kind people exist in all cultures.
