I recently had the opportunity to speak to poet Paula Hyman, who had a lot of fascinating things to say about poetry--and writing in general--and even read some of her poems! Enjoy!

Paula's bio and links:

Paula Hyman is a writer, educator, and mother who has always had a creative spirit. She has worked in a supportive services department, the Institute for Achievement and Learning, at Lynn University for 22 years. She has a B.A. in English and Writing and an M.A. in English Literature. Throughout her studies, Paula has written poetry, plays, and short stories, but it was not until the passing of her mother that she felt inspired to write and publish her poetry. In 2017, Paula published Grasping Towards my History, and in 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, she published In the Middle, from Within. Both collections reveal the author's inner feelings about her family, her travels, her insecurities, and her passions.
