Welcome to "Conan the Barbarian: Crom Hard or Go Home", in this movie review Mart and Trev rip off their shirts (spiritually, as no one wants to see that) and dive headfirst into the oiled-up, loinclothed legacy of Conan the Barbarian. First, they tackle the 1982 original, where Arnold Schwarzenegger grunts his way through a revenge quest so metal, it practically bleeds Black Sabbath.
Then it’s onto the 2011 reboot, starring Jason Momoa—a man who looks like he was carved from a mountain and taught to smoulder. But does slick CGI, blood geysers, and a villain who looks like he runs an evil fancy dress shop match the raw power of the original? Or is it just a protein shake with too much polish?
Warning: This episode contains strong opinions, stronger pecs, and at least one accidental invocation of Crom.
