On this movie review of The Deja Review Mart and Trev wriggle into the jiggly depths of The Blob and its 1988 remake to answer life’s biggest question: What if your strawberry jelly turned on you?
We start with the 1958 original, where Steven McQueen plays a teenager at 28, the town gets slowly (and we mean slowly) slurped by a raspberry pudding, and people act like "being absorbed by goo" is just slightly inconvenient.
Then, it’s on to the 1988 remake—a movie that says, “What if The Thing and Flubber had a very angry baby?” The Blob's back, meaner, faster, and now capable of digesting a phone booth in less time than it takes Trev to finish a sentence.
Expect slime jokes, powerful pouting and really bad 80's hair.
