Founder and CEO of HYBR Hannah Chappatte joins us for an insightful conversation about student housing and the purpose behind Hybr.
We discussed the lack of education young people get about what job roles they can go into, and decoding what makes a ‘good’ startup culture.
🎓 A lack of information. Students don’t get an insight into the full landscape of the opportunities across industries available to them. There are so many options, yet we all end up going down the same path and applying for the same grad schemes.
🚀 Building a network from scratch. As a graduate starting a business, I didn’t have the network around me to help raise our PreSeed or hire the team. We discussed how essential it is to be able to articulate your story in a way that people instantly understand and can relate to. Plus, you should always be ready to pitch, as you never know who you’ll be meeting.
🤷🏽♀️ Entrepreneur clubs, innovation societies, and business groups – are an incredible resource that I didn’t know about at university. We need to get them more in peoples faces.
💡A lightbulb moment. Want exposure before starting your own business? Join forces with Hybr - I’ve been in your shoes. Hybr is on the lookout for student ambassadors to champion our brand on campus. We’re empowering and supporting students, providing everything they need to learn about different departments, plus pay and commission!
