Description

Benny Reiner is a Grammy-award-winning and multi-platinum-selling musician and composer.

He is the original Percussionist in the award-winning, critically-acclaimed Broadway musical,
Hamilton. With Hamilton he has performed on the Grammy Awards, the Tony Awards, as well as the Obama White House. In addition to performing, Reiner has written, composed, and produced a plethora of recordings for records as well as film and television. He has worked with the likes of Lauv, Max Martin, Kate McKinnon, Jax, Stela Cole, Emei, Jagwar Twin, Mothica, Ali Dee, and many more. He has written music for networks and studios such as Disney, Sony, Fox,
CBS, Discovery, VH1, MTV, Netflix, Amazon, and Broadway Video, and movies like Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, and television shows like 48 Hours On Assignment, CoComelon, and Sesame Street. He has written music for advertisement for brands such as Gatorade, Dos Equis, NFL, Verizon, Patrón, Stella Artois, TikTok, Chrysler, and more.

In this episode we'll hear Benny's journey from growing up in the local hardcore music scene in Arkansas to eventually moving to New York City and landing a job on the biggest Broadway show to ever exist.
