After 10 years of unemployment and under employment, Duane McHodgkins made the decision to start his own business. During Covid when many businesses were being shut down, his was booming because he is in IT. With so many friends hurting, Duane decided to do something about it. He wrote the book, "Lessons from the Business Heroes of the Pandemic." It is a book that helps people stay essential. He writes about many businesses that were able to pivot and keep things moving. His second book, released in June, is titled "The Higher Education Scam – Debunking the Myth That Everyone Needs A College Degree."
