In this episode, I opened up about feeling disconnected from my highest self lately. It's been a struggle, especially after a trip threw my meditation routine out of whack. I realized I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to be "perfect" and achieve all these things – and guess what? It totally backfired!
Here's what I learned:
- It's okay to have off days. You won't always feel like you're firing on all cylinders, and that's totally normal.
- Perfectionism is a sneaky little gremlin. It can hold us back from making progress because we're too busy worrying about doing things perfectly instead of just doing them.
- Ever heard of the Dunning-Kruger effect? It explains why sometimes the most skilled people doubt themselves, while beginners might think they're rockstars (even if they're not quite there yet).
- Progress is about tiny steps, not giant leaps. Don't get discouraged if you miss a meditation session or two. Just get back on the horse and keep moving forward.
- Life is a rollercoaster, full of ups and downs. Embrace the whole ride, even the bumpy parts!
