Mr. Simon, the zealot, arrives on Canaveral's campus. Peter and Mary both reflect on what changed the course of their lives and brought them to Canaveral. Mr. Simon and Ms. Jayme antagonize the girls, uprooting all of Mary's hard work to shield them from the cruelty of the academy.
