Tyler is an MMA veteran and was surprised, disappointed to see Connor McGregor pull out of his fight against Michael Chandler on UFC 303. I questioned if the gate could really be 20 million dollars based on attendance and UFC could be inflating the numbers. Tyler quickly puts me in my place pointing out McGregor draws money; he has generational wealth and knows his worth.
Alex Pereira vs Jiri Prochazaka for the Light Heavyweight Title was added to UFC 303, which is expected to be a blockbuster battle. We talk Jon Jones, Tyler spent time training with him and firmly believes he is the greatest MMA competitor of all time. His fight against Stipe Miocic will hopefully happen in late fall at MSG.
We discuss the PFL, the promotion is growing in popularity, signing top level fighters, and has been putting on outstanding shows. Mads Burnell defeated Clay Collard in the main event. PFL has a unique format using a tournament style for championships and prize money. Tyler has fought in the PFL and thinks they will be a top rival to UFC for years to come. PFL's next show is June 28th in South Dakota.
The Marauder has a partner and they run Crown Sports which signs, trains, and promotes fighters. Tyler can get his top talent to UFC, PFL and in plenty of regional companies throughout New England.
