Episode 6: Daily routine and why it’s so important
Do you have a routine? Do you want a routine? In this
episode, I share what has worked for me as I am in transition from a regular full-time job to a self-employed woman. My days are more flexible, and I can waste time watching TV when I really want to explore topics and opportunities and meet up with people.
I’ve written up some key takeaways from this episode
below. I hope you start to ponder if you need a routine. If you already have one, is it working for you?
Routines give us:
Does a routine have to scheduled out by the hour? No, you can create chunks of time or maybe only have a morning or evening routine.
Does it need to be written down? Yes – use colors, print or
create posters
Should you post it in various locations? Yes – more the
better.
Set up reminders – calendar, watch, alarms, sticky notes
Time Stamps

4:14 – Creating a Flexible and Realistic Routine
8:08 – Documenting your Routine
17:18 – Building Trust with Self-Commitments
21:08 – Being Kind and Gentle with Yourself
A new habit takes 28 days – that’s the old saying.
In actuality – it’s very dependent on the complexity of the
habit and the person.
Anywhere from 18 – 256 days; on average 66 days.
Breaking up your day:
Brainstorm your “MUST” list and your “DESIRE” list.
Do they match and how can you incorporate them into a single routine?
