Description

Falsification is a principle proposed by philosopher Karl Popper as a criterion for distinguishing scientific theories from pseudoscience. According to falsification, a scientific theory must be capable of being tested and potentially proven false through empirical observation or experimentation. In other words, scientific hypotheses should make specific, testable predictions that can be either corroborated or refuted by evidence. If a hypothesis withstands rigorous testing and has not been falsified, it gains credibility, but it can never be proven conclusively true.

To prove something true, try proving it false. Falsification is at the heart of critical thinking and the scientific method. 🧪❓ #Falsification #CriticalThinking #MentalModels #Logic #Science
