Description

The Horn Effect, also known as the Devil Effect, is a cognitive bias where an individual's perception of someone's negative trait or characteristic colors their judgment of other unrelated attributes or qualities, leading to an overall negative impression. Similar to the Halo Effect in reverse, which involves the perception of someone positively based on a single positive trait, the Horn Effect demonstrates how negative perceptions can overshadow other positive qualities.

One flaw clouds the full picture. Horn Effect is the darker twin of the Halo Effect. 🔻👁️ #HornEffect #CognitiveBias #Perception #MentalModels #Awareness
