God is sovereign over all of creation, that means He's in control of all things. He doesn't want us to trust in things, including man, but rather in Him and His means of providing for us. Sometimes He will destroy the thing that we are trusting in to make us turn to Him. It is pride and arrogance that makes us assume that we can make without Him. So, learn to trust in Him, look to Him, receive from Him, so that we can have life in Him.
