I want to share a bit about myself: I'm a first-generation Mexican-American from El Paso, Texas, a unique and vibrant border town where I grew up embracing two cultures. I hold degrees in industrial and systems engineering and have had the privilege of working with renowned companies like Northrop Grumman, Cummins, Lockheed Martin, and Toyota. My career at Microsoft taught me a lot, but it was my love for travel and my passion for advocating for women in STEM that truly shaped my path.
In this episode, I delve into the defining moments of my life, particularly the year 2020, which was pivotal for my mental health journey and my transition into entrepreneurship. I discuss my engagement to the love of my life, Jose Andres Mesa, and how my adventures and struggles, including dealing with ADHD and anxiety, have brought me to where I am today.
Empowermente is built on three pillars: empowerment and personal growth for first-generation Latinas, entrepreneurship and the unspoken truths of corporate America, and lifestyle and life transitions. My goal is to create a space where we can heal generational trauma, build generational wealth, and navigate life's big transitions together.
