Description

Have you ever had someone make a comment on your weight?

It might be a family member, a work colleague, or an acquaintance you haven’t seen in a while, and they make an unsolicited remark about how your body looks.

Instead of saying, “Hello, how are you?” they lead with, “Wow you’ve lost weight!” or, “You’re looking... healthy.”

Whether it’s well-meaning or not, commenting on women’s bodies has become so normal we don’t even register it’s happening half the time.

It might seem complimentary but it reduces a person’s value to how they look.

Also, if someone has lost weight it might not be intentional. There might be serious underlying health issues or emotional stress you’re not aware of.

On this episode, Gab and Sarah share some of their experiences with receiving unsolicited body comments.
