He warns us to not be deceived by false prophets, nor to be misled into error! For many will turn from sound doctrine and heap upon themselves teachers that will tickle their ears and lure them into immoral freedoms! Beloved, there is much deception going on in the world today, do not get caught up in it! The Bible teaches us that in the last days, people will increasingly become more insensitive to sin, their consciences will be seared, and their hearts hardened to others!
The reason why we follow the Lord Jesus Christ's voice and His teachings, it's so that we don't get caught up in a deception that has blinded many to the truth of His Word! We see in the current times in which we are living, there is much deception happening! There is much misleading, and there is great distortion of the Scriptures that has caused confusion and misunderstanding! And if we are not truly abiding in Jesus and listening to His voice alone, we too, will be led astray back on that broad road that leads to everlasting fire and we all perish! This is of utmost importance that we heed to sound doctrine!
The Bible warns of deception by Satan in the last days! We see the evil workings of end time prophecy being planned and put into place; readying for their Antichrist's (the “man of lawlessness") ascension to power. These recent current events of wars and rumors of wars, can easily set people against each other, especially if we don't understand their purpose according to God's will and His plans for a nation. In the last days, people will depart from the truth and they will believe what is false; because of this God will send a strong delusion (study 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12).
God will cause the world to be deceived. Now why will God do that? God gives us the answer. He will do it “in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth but took pleasure in wickedness.” That is, God will intentionally cause those who have already ultimately and finally rejected Jesus Christ and are indulging in the pleasures of sin to be completely deceived! He gives them over because they have completely rejected Christ. Then when God judges them, His judgments will prove He is righteous and just! They will prove they deserve ! DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN THE STRONG DELUSION THAT'S SURE TO COME!!
