When you truly love someone, don't you defend & CONTEND for them when someone talks "crazy" about their character and what they stand for? Uh, don't you? How much more so, should we earnestly contend for the faith which we all have received?
WHAT? AIN'T NOBODY FIGHTING FOR JESUS??!
🥊🥊🚨 LISTEN: Do ye not know that we are in a fight?! Our Heavenly Father wants us to contend for our faith! DO YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT *CONTEND* MEANS? It means to assert something as your position in an argument! IT MEANS NOT TO BACK DOWN! And in terms of the Bible, it means that Jesus wants us to argue against what is false - that which is in DIRECT contradiction and in VIOLATION to His Holy Word!
Therefore, we are to:
🥊 Face down the lies of the devil, with the truth of God's Word!
🥊 Deal aggressively with those who challenge that Truth!
🥊 Take on all naysayers against sound doctrine - and shut it down!
🥊 Pit ourselves against the false brethren, IN LOVE, when they are being stumbling blocks to the Body of Christ, because of their deception and loyalty to false teachers!
🥊 Hold firmly to the Word of God for sound doctrine!
🥊 Profess, affirm, insist, declare, pronounce, state, the truth of the Bible and its teachings that we have been taught from the beginning!
💥 This is how we contend for for our faith!
