MANY people believe that if your spouse commits adultery, you can REMARRY. It is a LIE from the pit of ! Jesus Christ has clearly taught us that DIVORCE and REMARRYING another person when you have a LIVING spouse (a covenant spouse) is ADULTERY!
💥💥 The teachings of Jesus are clear :
👉🏾 Mark 10:1-12: teaches that what God has joined together through matrimony, and the one flesh union, let no man put ASUNDER.
👉🏾 Matthew 5:32 - "But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery."
👉🏾Matthew 19:9: teaches that if a man or woman divorces and marries another, you commit ADULTERY.
👉🏾 Luke 16:18: teaches that anyone who divorces their spouse and marries another person commits ADULTERY. And the person who marries a DIVORCED woman/man, commits ADULTERY.
👉🏾Romans 7:1-3: "Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
👉🏾1 Corinthians 7:10-11: "But to the married [believers] I give instructions—not I, but the Lord—that the wife is not to separate from her husband, 11 (but even if she does leave him, let her remain single or else be reconciled to her husband) and that the husband should not leave his wife."
👉🏾1 Corinthians 7:39-40: "A wife is bound [to her husband by law] as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry whomever she wishes, only [provided that he too is] in the Lord. 40 But in my opinion a widow is happier if she stays as she is. And I think that I also have the Spirit of God [in this matter]."
Amen! Live clean. Be holy. Consider all your ways before the Lord. 🎯 REPENT and BELIEVE and TURN back to God!
