This is going to be an extremely hard study. Even the Lord Jesus said that what He is saying about this topic is hard to understand. Jesus says in Matthew 19 verse 6, "...let no man put asunder." That means, in the eyes of God, no civil court of law can grant man a divorce that would be sanctioned by Him. And He gives only two reasons for you to divorce and remarry: (1) you are a widow & (2) your spouse committed fornication while y'all was engaged and upon marriage, his illicit sexual liaison was revealed. For any other reason besides these two, if you choose to remarry, according to Jesus, you are now in adultery. Not only you, but your new spouse is also committing adultery because he married a divorced woman who was not a widow or her fiance did not commit fornication during their betrothal.
