He also commands us to believe that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him (John 14:11), to stay alert and always pray (Luke 21:36), to love one another like Christ loves us (John 13:34-35), and to pray for our enemies and those who persecute us (Matt 5:44-45). These are not suggestions, but commands given by the King of kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ our Savior.
In the Parable of the Good Shepherd in John, chapter 10, the Lord tells us that He is the Good Shepherd; that His true sheep, "follow him because they know his voice and recognize his call. They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers" (v. 4-5).
We have an epidemic here in America and around the world: ravenous wolves-in-sheep's clothing, masquerading as prophets of God, pastors, bishops, teachers, etc. - who are leading many in the Body astray with a watered-down gospel, false doctrine & destructive heresies, traditions of men, and doctrines of devils. Many who profess Christ as Lord and Savior, are following and listening to these, what Jesus calls "thieves and robbers" (v. 1). Many, He has not sent to shepherd over His flock! They climbed in some other way! They are nothing more than hirelings who serve for wages (v. 12).
He goes on to tell us in verses 27-28, "The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand." So the question becomes, whose voice are you listening to? In these last days, we must be sure that we are listening to only one voice: the Lord Jesus Christ's. The only One who shed blood for you! He is the only One you follow and not the howl of a wolf, pretending to be a sheep! Live clean. Be holy. Consider all your ways before the Lord. Amen! 🎯 REPENT and BELIEVE and TURN back to God!
