Our Father in Heaven is a loving God, a faithful & merciful God, a long-suffering God, a holy & righteous God who loves those who love Him! But, we must never take it for granted: - "The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord is avenging and wrathful; the Lord takes vengeance on his adversaries and keeps wrath for his enemies. The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and the Lord will by no means clear the guilty..."Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the heat of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken into pieces by him." (STUDY: Nahum 1:2-6). GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED!!
All throughout Scripture, the command is clear to the inhabited world: Deuteronomy 10:12-14 ~ 12 “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear [and worship] the Lord your God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being], 13 and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good? 14 Behold, the heavens and the highest of heavens belong to the Lord your God, the earth and all that is in it" (AMP).
Today's Take-away: I feel the burden of Jesus' heart when we don't turn to Him after all He has done for us! For those of us who truly understand what it took for God to put His Son up there on that Cross, and for Jesus to willingly lay down His life for us, it compels us to stop sinning! It's when we take our eyes off the Cross and off the sacrifice that our Lord did for us on our behalf, is when we fall prey to Satan's world and all of its debauchery! That is why we cry aloud, for the lost to stop sinning and repent and turn to God and then, in obedience, follow Him until Jesus comes back for us, or if we go by the way of the grave, we shall see Him face to face! It is the goal of every believer to get their hips back to Heaven! Hallelujah! Glory be to God!
