What we must consider is what the psalmist tells us in Psalm 119:172, “My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.” Keeping the commands of the Lord is righteousness, thus, any disobedience to the commands of the Lord is UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. As we look at 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, it clearly tells us who the unrighteous are. We may not identify with any works on that list, but are we HEEDING to the commands of God?? Consider, also, UNRIGHTEOUSNESS is when God tells us to do something in His Word, and we don't do it, i.e., to love the brethren, to forgive, let not the sun go down on your anger, take no thought, fear not, keep your eyes fix ahead, turn not to the right hand nor to the left, count it all joy, have faith, loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and such things as these! We must stop any unrighteous acts where the flesh is concerned, as well as, heed to and obey God's every commandments! For not to do so, is unrighteousness! See why it is so important to stay in the Word of God to know what He commands?!
For Jesus did say, in Matthew 7:13-14, 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it."
