It is careless to go running after "modern-day idols" in your life and forget about God and ALL that He had done for you, namely: SENDING JESUS TO SAVE US FROM THE WRATH OF GOD TO COME! Folks, it is "spiritual prostitution" when we abandon and neglect our Heavenly Father by turning our backs, and not our faces, to Him! It is a spiritual "crime" to seek after the pleasures & treasures of this earth and leave God, your Creator, in the dust, without so much as a "Thank You!" We will see in the book of Jeremiah the contention between the Holy One of Israel and His chosen nation: the Israelites, who were consistently running after pagan idols, disobeying God’s commands and were a stiff-necked adulterous generation! Because of their disloyalty and sin, God has sent evil men as His instrument in punishing Israel for their evil, treacherous, idolatrous practices, and disobedience! So what does that tell us today? Never forget God, never forget the Good News of our salvation and not to run after the idols in our lives, but to keep God first, obey Jesus and do the work of spreading the Gospel: to preach repentance for the forgiveness of sins, because God sent us a SAVIOR who has reconciled us back to Himself! Amen! 🎯 Repent and believe and turn back to God!
