When you are abiding in Christ Jesus, you can CONFIDENTLY answer their demanded question: "Well, don't you sin?!" with a resounding: "No, I am not in willful, deliberate, practicing sin!" Be ready for the backlash though, LOL! They will pull 1 John 1:8 out of its context in a "New York minute," - "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" and accuse YOU of lying! Many quote this Scripture in opposition to the teaching that a born again believer IS ABLE to live without sin: so what did John really mean?
