But if you don't remain in Him, you will be eternally separated from God and the Lord Jesus Christ in the Lake of Fire, which the Bible calls the "second death." We don't ever want to hear, "Depart from me, I never knew you!" The dead withered branches are gathered and thrown into the fire! That is why the damnable teaching of "Once Saved/Always Saved" is putting people back on the road to ! It teaches that you can stay stuck in your sins and still get to go to Heaven! It lulls people into a false sense of "eternal security" that Jesus NEVER promised! That is a false teaching!! A damnable one at that! We are not saved! We are BEING saved through the sanctification process in Christ Jesus: living in righteousness and holiness with a clear conscience - being led by the Holy Spirit. It's about walking in obedience and faithfulness to the Father; turning from sin and forsaking it! It is not until Jesus comes back, when our resurrected bodies shall be glorified - that is when we reach glorification - THE HOPE OF OUR SALVATION! That is when we'll receive the promised gift of eternal life. WE DON'T GOT THIS IN THE BAG just because we said some unbiblical, unscriptural "sinner's prayer! It's all about standing firm and enduring until the end; not getting tangled up and enslaved by sin again! To this fact, Jesus tells us we must endure to the end to be saved: "But he who endures to the end shall be saved." (Matthew 24:13)
